  True enough about the Streisand Effect. I do not mind the people who frequent this website reading the posts. It's those who Google me. In the end, it is pretty insignificant information about me. But it would be a bit more preferable to keep that information private. As with many who leave the JWs, my life has transformed completely in a very positive way. Again, as with many who leave, the first 3-4 years can be the most difficult and emotional. Therefore, things I did and said under that sort of stress are no longer an any where near accurate portrayal of who I am now.

  To add context, I received an email from a person who googled me looking for my work and ran into a post from this website and asked me questions and so forth that I really didn't want to answer. I ignored the email, but it would be nice to prevent further emails of the sort.

  Not a huge deal, but it would be nice.

  Thank you. I went ahead and sent him a message. Unfortunately, Google search does not allow sleeping dogs to lie. So, hopefully the posts can be removed. Thanks though.

  i have a reading scheduled on may 15th in atlanta, ga. it is a new restaurant called the lamplighter cafe.

  as an exjw, my book is about the experiences me and my friend faced gowing up in the religion and trying to be normal adults.

  my book is called 'the colon chronicles'.

  after being disfellowshiped from the wt, i was born in the "truth", i find it hard to start a new life.

  i was for 6 years innactive, and 2 years that i have been disfellowshiped.

  unfortunately i didn't had any college degree and i have hardly finished high school.

  The worst dead end period of my life was spending the summer solstice in Anchorage, Alaska with Nathan Natas

  Seriously, though, I can understand your plight. I had a career and college education, etc, but when I became depressed after trying to adjust to life outside the organization and shunning, etc. I couldn't keep my job. I make a lot less money, but at least the stress is not as bad.

  Have you tried therapy or medication? That has helped me a lot.

  today i approached this elder in the hallway to pick his brains.. i said: "i've seen a couple of buildings sold in brooklyn?

  is there plan to sell all and move out"?.

  he said: "brother these are truly the last of minutes, and day there might not even be any bethel in us...... the persecution is going to be so extreme that bethel might be in...... rome, islands, or bla bla".
